MOSCOW, Sep 27 (PRIME) -- Andrei Tarasenko, former acting governor of Russia’s Primorsky Region, may be appointed as deputy transport minister, business daily Vedomosti reported Thursday citing a source.
The regional election committee recently voided results of governor elections, and on Wednesday, President Vladimir Putin accepted resignation of Tarasenko and appointed Oleg Kozhemyako as acting governor.
Tarasenko was in Moscow during several last days, where he met with employees of the presidential administration and presidential aide Igor Levitin, a person close to the Primorsky Region government said.
Two deputy transport ministers, Nikolai Asaul and Alan Lushnikov, recently left their posts and have not been replaced yet.
